We've had this TV for about 2 months at this time and have used it extensively. Three HDMI inputs are home to an XBOX 360, Google TV, and Blu-Ray player with the Wii plugged in under the composite input. The picture has been good, sound from the unit does just fine (without a home theater system, the bass is a bit needing) and there's even enough room on top to stick the Wii IR-bar. It works with Google TV (logitech revue) harmony remote android/iphone app to control the tv from your phone if you have a google tv unit. For the price, it's a great 42" TV. USB file support includes .mkv support - so your HD movies will look great from a USB stick. The remote layout leaves for some wanting as the buttons are not very clear in many situations.

I'm going to talk to you about the LG 42LK450-UV. If we go a little closer you can see the LG logo in addition to our model number here which focus a little hard to see but it is in fact that model number. And real quick is the TV screen which is 42 inches on the diagonal and one thing that's a little annoying is that up front here on actually the front of the screen there's capacity buttons so all you have to do is touch it. And your power button goes ever so slightly and it's hard to know if you're actually hitting the button so it actually took me about a week and a half to find these buttons for the first time. And the TV itself swivels like 15 degrees or so and if we take a look on the side so that it's not the thinnest TV but again it's not the thickest so it's definitely durable. And I'll just show you a quick feature. You take this and you plug it in the back here and get a USB data loading and [inaudible 2:11], you get to see the movie list, photos, and music, will play either one, so if we take a look at movies not too much on here right now but I do have just a quick clip of our favorite Michael J. Fox movie. And it will start playing. This is not in high definition but it does support MTV high definition files. And one of the problems is you can only skip to the nearest whatever segment. You can't do exact skipping so you can only skip to the nearest dot, you can't go between them. It's slightly annoying but you can do without it. One note is if we take a look at our remote here It's a little hard to find things like for example mute is here in the middle, there's something ratio, then we have a quick menu which brings up some basic things but that's only in – this we go back to our TV -- apparently you can't do it during a movie. Back – there's a back for this whole movie setup first before we can go to the quick menu. [inaudible 3:30] that you go sideways to get to. It's useful but it's a little bit obnoxious in terms of getting to places or just in general because the back is what you use most often but not to confuse with exit which sometimes back also does but sometimes it doesn't. But there is no interconnectivity with this device so you're going to have to deal with for example we have a Google TV box connected to it but we just have an Android app but you can't control the TV itself from so that's quite handy. But there's no interconnectivity so you can't do NetFlix or anything else in this TV, basically it does help put the price down. Overall I'm fairly happy with it for the price range [inaudible 4:29]. Unfortunately we don't have any high definition cable channels to show you over here but it does look fairly nice once we do have some HD and the main things are problems with remote [inaudible 4:41] but you can get away with that. The buttons up front are really hard if you want to get it open, change the channels of the TV manually. The picture's fine, the sound's fine for a TV like this, inputs are fine in the back. It does feel a little cheap when you try to stick USBs in and it would be nice to be able to play those formats. I've already had no problems with it so far, it's been a great TV for the whole semester. So that's then the LG 42-inch LK450-UV.
