Pros: No batteries necessary, Comes in multiple colors, Inexpensive compared to electric brushes

Cons: The pulsing doesn't accomplish anything more, My teeth don't feel any cleaner than with a normal brush

    Bought this product at: CVS

I'm not a fan! It's more expensive than regular toothbrushes and doesn't accomplish more in terms of tooth cleaning.

    Transcript of Video Review

Hi, I'm Alex. I'm 22. And today I'll be reviewing the Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush. Here is a slightly different one in the box, just so you can get an idea. We don't have the box for this one anymore. But basically, what it is is a normal toothbrush, but it has these yellow things in there and they vibrate back and forth so it's kind of like having an electric toothbrush. There is just a couple of buttons on it so you can just turn it on and turn it off whenever you want it. So a couple positives about this toothbrush is that, first of all, it doesn't need batteries like a normal electric toothbrush would and that's definitely good. It comes with a couple of different color options. We have blue and this white and purplish red one. And another thing is that it's definitely very inexpensive compared to normal electric toothbrushes. I mean I'm sure you've looked at electric toothbrushes. They range from like, depending on how good they are, I mean they can get up to like $100. Some of the lower ones are more like $30 to $40. But this is definitely a lot cheaper. But some negatives are that I don't really feel like the pulsing does anything. I mean you can feel it and it feels weird in your hand as it's, like, vibrating, but my teeth don't feel any cleaner after I use it compared to when I just use a normal toothbrush. So I guess that would definitely be a negative, and in that case, there is no reason to spend the extra ticket with the Pulsar toothbrush than if you could just buy a regular toothbrush and get the same effect. So for me, it's not really worth it. I don't really recommend the product. I guess I would give it, like, two out of five stars just because it is -- if you are looking for kind of an electric toothbrush, it's definitely the way to go because it's much more reasonably priced. But if you're looking, like, to clean your mouth better, I don't really feel like it succeeds in that, and I do feel like it's kind of a waste of money. So sorry, Oral-B, I don't recommend the Pulsar Toothbrush.

    Summary
    • Pulsar has unique vibrating MicroPulse bristles that work in two ways. First, they pivot back and forth to penetrate deep between teeth and along the gumline. Second, they gently pulse to lift up food and plaque and stimulate gums.
    • Revolutionary MicroPulse Bristles, made of textured rubber, pivot and penetrate deep to sweep away food and plaque like tiny windshield wipers for your teeth.
    • Innovative split-head design adjusts to the contours of teeth and gums when brushing. This flexible split-head design is gentle on gums.
    • Pulsar is clinically proven to out-clean the leading manual and battery brushes. In addition, Pulsar removes as much plaque as brushing and flossing combined.
    • Pulsar is fully disposable; there is no need to change any parts. The brush includes one non-replaceable AAA Duracell battery. Brush with Pulsar just as you would with a regular manual brush.
